On September 15th, Team Falcons unveiled their academy squad, Falcons Force with these five players: Olaie, grecu, clockzi, VENO, and NucleonZ, with NaToSaphiX as coach, after an open trials process through the summer.
However, the unveiling of the roster has amassed some criticism from the community members over a possible conflict of interest.
NaToSaphiX accused of conflict of interest
On September 17th, writer Heine “Puffin” Winthereig alleged that NaToSaphiX is a part-owner of player agency NEEVE.PRO and that four of the five Falcons Force players are NEEVE.PRO clients, calling it a classic conflict of interest. The claim spread quickly on X via community posts highlighting the overlap.
According to Puffin’s reporting, Falcons Esports general manager Jordan Savelli was aware of the alleged ownership and permitted NaToSaphiX to continue while being part owner of NEEVE.PRO.
The situation is somewhat ironic as in mid-August NaToSaphiX publicly complained about agent interference during the trial phase.
To Pley.gg NaToSaphiX says they are clarifying the matter and expect to share more information soon.
