apEX’s squad got a clean win over 3DMAX to rectify their earlier loss to FaZe.
3DMAX only managed a single T round against Vitality on Nuke, where flameZ was just able to farm them.
“They played really sloppy, going through smokes,” flameZ said after the match. “When our aim is sharp, and they’re doing that, it makes it easy.”
It was a 13-4 breeze on Nuke for Vitality, coming back from their 6-13 loss on the map against FaZe.
3DMAX looked unlike themselves on the other side, lacking the usual cohesion that makes them dangerous. They go down to the 0-2 pool, awaiting their next opponent.
G2 clean up paiN
“We took some rest, we had a really productive bootcamp,” said huNter- after defeating paiN. He said that skipping Hong Kong allowed them to get an advantage over the other top teams.
On this map, it showed, as G2 came out swinging right off the bat. They had a 9-3 start against paiN on Dust2, with SunPayus topping the board.
This is a turnaround from his downturn in 2025, and a positive sign for G2’s chances of making it deep at Budapest.
