MIBR vs Virtus.pro – Triple overtime thriller goes VP’s way
Virtus.pro came into the series as the favorites, and they looked the part early on Train, controlling the pace from the start in a convincing 13–6 win. But MIBR didn’t go down quietly.
On Overpass, the Brazilians came alive with a dominant 10-2 CT side, pushing VP to the limit. The game went deep into overtime — three overtimes, in fact — with both teams trading clutches. In the end, Virtus.pro’s structure and late-round discipline made the difference as they secured a hard-fought 22–19 win to complete the 2-0 sweep.

Passion UA vs Team Spirit – Cologne champs stunned early, but Spirit recover
Fresh off their IEM Cologne championship win just days ago, Team Spirit entered their BLAST Bounty opener as one of the tournament favorites. So when Passion UA stunned them on Dust2, Spirit’s own map pick, it looked like an upset could happen. The Ukrainian squad took the fight directly to the reigning champions, pulling off a composed 13–10 victory.
But that was where the upset ended. Once the series moved to Mirage, Spirit quickly stabilized with donk and sh1ro leading the way as Spirit dismantled Passion UA 13–3. On Ancient, Spirit kept their foot on the gas, closing out the decider 13–4 to secure a confident 2-1 series win.

But once the series moved to Nuke, NaVi found their footing. Their CT side looked airtight as they shut down TNL’s plans and leveled the series with a confident 13–5 win. On Mirage, TNL showed signs of life, but NaVi stayed composed and closed out the map 13–9 to complete the comeback and advance to the next round.

The trend continued on Overpass, where Rare Atom managed a few more rounds, but never truly challenged. Staehr led the charge with a commanding performance, and yes — dev1ce has a mustache now. It seems to be working. With a clean 2–0 win, Astralis move on to Round 2 looking sharp in more ways than one.
