VALORANT Mobile Global Release Update: Chinese Version Gets Vyse & Insane New Skins

How are all my VALORANT Mobile lovers doing? If you have been waiting for official news on the global release, you are probably feeling a little frustrated right now.

Currently, there is zero official communication regarding a global launch date. All we are getting are third-party leaks and pages throwing out approximate release months with no solid proof. But while the global audience is stuck waiting, the Chinese version of VALORANT Mobile is receiving absolutely massive updates on a daily basis.

Here is a breakdown of what is happening overseas, why you should hold onto your wallet, and a look at the newest agent to hit the mobile servers: Vyse.

Daily Updates and Beautiful Bundles (But Don’t Buy Them!)

The Chinese version of the game is getting updated so fast it will make your head spin. Every single day brings new updates, new bundles, and incredibly beautiful weapon skins that look amazing on mobile.

However, a quick word of advice: Do not spend your money on these skins. Even though the bundles look fantastic, spending money on the Chinese client is completely useless for global players. Once the official Global or Indian versions finally launch, none of those skins or progress will transfer over. Save your cash for the real release.

New Agent Added: How Vyse Plays on Mobile

Every major update in the Chinese version seems to add a new agent to the roster, and the latest addition is the metallic Sentinel, Vyse.

If you are wondering how her utility translates to the mobile touchscreen format, here is a breakdown of her skills based on the latest gameplay:

  • The Damage Trap (Razorvine): This is a pre-placed trap that you can drop anywhere on the map. You play off audio cues; as soon as you hear enemy footsteps push into the area, you execute the trap. The damage output is incredibly high, allowing you to easily finish off trapped enemies.
  • The Wall Trap (Shear): This is your ultimate anti-rush tool. When two or three enemies try to push a choke point together, you place this wall trap. As soon as the first entry-fragger crosses the line, the wall shoots up, cutting them off from their team. The first enemy is now completely trapped in the open without cover.
  • The Flash (Arc Rose): Vyse’s third skill is a flash that can be used in two ways. You can pre-place it at an entry point and trigger it safely from behind cover, or place it mid-fight. The best part? It only blinds the enemies looking at it, making it much harder to accidentally blind yourself (a lifesaver for those of us with a bad habit of team-flashing).
  • The Ultimate (Steel Garden): This ultimate has the potential to wipe an entire squad. When activated, it completely jams and freezes the primary weapons of any enemies caught in the radius. They cannot fire a single bullet. If you drop this on a full squad holding a site, an Ace is practically guaranteed since you can pick them off while they are defenseless.

Is Vyse Right For You?

Vyse is an incredibly strong Sentinel on mobile, but she requires a very fast, proactive playstyle. You have to be quick with your ability executions and trap timings to get the most out of her kit. If you prefer a slower, more methodical playstyle, you might struggle to keep up with her necessary APM (Actions Per Minute) on a touchscreen.
