Report: 100 Thieves in talks with device about shock move

Dust2.dk reports that 100 Thieves have entered serious discussions with Nicolai device Reedtz about a potential transfer, a move that would see one of Denmark’s greatest players leave Astralis for a second time and reunite with former teammate gla1ve.

Dust2.dk reports that 100 Thieves have entered serious discussions with Nicolai device Reedtz about a potential transfer, a move that would see one of Denmark’s greatest players leave Astralis for a second time and reunite with former teammate gla1ve.

According to several independent sources cited by both Dust2.dk and HLTV, the talks between device and 100 Thieves are active, although there is no confirmation yet that an agreement has been completed.

The timing of the rumour is notable. device offered no clarity about his future when HLTV asked him directly after Astralis were eliminated in Budapest.

When asked whether he could confirm he would remain with Astralis in 2026 and what the new ownership envisioned for the roster, device simply replied, “No, I can’t tell you anything about that.”

A second departure from Astralis on the horizon?

Device rejoined Astralis in October 2022 after his tenure with NIP, returning to the organisation where he won four Major titles and became one of the most decorated players in Counter Strike history. Since his comeback, Astralis have made only one Major, most recently in Budapest where the team exited in Stage 2.

Astralis have not commented on the developing story. Dust2.dk notes that the organisation was contacted for confirmation but has not responded.

100 Thieves rebuilding with big names and bold roles

100 Thieves announced their return to Counter Strike in mid November by signing rain as the face of the new project. In an unexpected twist, the Norwegian veteran is set to become the in game leader for the first time in his career.

The team is also expected to bring in gla1ve as coach, meaning a move for device would reunite the legendary duo that formed the backbone of Astralis’ golden era. Their last official match together dates back to April 2021.

Nothing is confirmed at this stage, but if the talks progress, 100 Thieves could be assembling one of the most ambitious rebuilds of 2026.
