Techno4k, theMongolZ’s lowest-rated player on LAN across 2025, won the tournament MVP.
AURORA Gaming and TheMongolZ faced off in the Esports World Cup final, rivals across 2025. TheMongolZ last got the better of AURORA at the BLAST Bounty in 2-0 fashion, managing a 0-11 comeback in the process.
It is fitting that these two teams will contest their first trophy of 2025, as they have managed frequent quarter and semi-final appearances.
With no Team Spirit or Vitality in the contest, it was just between these two remaining national teams in the top 10 to duke it out for their first big title.
AURORA fumble another lead against theMongolZ
While mustering a comeback on Mirage to get an 11-8 lead, AURORA had a 5v3 situation against their Mongolian rivals.
Ismailcan ‘XANTARES’ Dörtkardeş was continuing his form from the tournament, going 7-3 in opening kills.
Instead of closing out, a quick clamp down on middle from Sodbayar ‘Techno4k’ Munkhbold and Ayush ‘mzinho’ Batbold caught them off-guard in Round 20.
It was a close map that was back-and-forth, but theMongolZ closed it out 16-14 in overtime.
Despite a heroic Özgür ‘woxic’ Eker clutch, Techno4k again stood out with aggressive plays and a whopping 1.84 rating.
MongolZ on top again
TheMongolZ looked poised to take map 2 cleanly, despite losing the opening pistol. They went on a clean run to take a 9-5 lead, but AURORA fought back.
Ali ‘Wicadia’ Haydar Yalçın got a triple kill with the Deagle on the Mongolians’ charge towards A, and XANTARES closed it out with a 1v1.
AURORA went on their own run, only to be stopped by mzinho’s Deagle, to win a 3v5 force buy in Round 19.
The Turks did not recover from that blow and fell 9-13 on Dust2.
Senzu goes nuclear
The third map of Nuke was TheMongolZ’s pick, and AURORA chose to start on the CT-side.
AURORA only managed 3 rounds in the first half, falling repeatedly to theMongolZ in advantaged situations.
Usukhbayar ‘910’ Banzragch, TheMongolZ’s lowest-rated player in the final, found a quick 1v3 with the AWP to steal a round from AURORA.
Azbayar ‘Senzu’ Munkhbold went on a tear, getting 18 kills just in the first half. He continued it on the CT-side, getting a triple headshot round with the Deagle right after losing the pistol.
With that, Senzu ended the map with 25 kills, and made it 3 wins in a row over AURORA for theMongolZ.
