Agent Veto select animation

It’s honestly such a good select animation, show casing his intercept ability and his transformation all in one

Veto abilities

Interceptor (E)

Why it’s useful: Interceptor is Veto’s signature ability, acting as a trophy system that destroys enemy utility within its range. It can disrupt plays and neutralize key abilities from opponents

How it works: Deploy the Interceptor to a location and reactivate it to destroy enemy abilities. It lasts 10 seconds, has 20 health, and can be destroyed by shooting. The ability is loud, alerting enemies, and has a 45-second cooldown after destruction. It can counter abilities such as Raze’s rocket, Sage’s wall, or Gekko’s utility

Crosscut (C)

Why it’s useful: Crosscut allows Veto to reposition quickly and safely during fights, giving him mobility to control engagements and flanking opportunities

How it works: Equip a vortex and fire to place it on the ground. Reactivate to teleport to the vortex location, but you must be looking at the teleport point. The ability has a slight delay, two charges, and costs 200 credits. Crosscut can be used while moving, but it is not instantaneous like Chamber’s rendevous

Chokehold (Q)

Why it’s useful: Chokehold is a trap ability that provides area control by tethering, deafening, and decaying enemies in its radius, allowing for strategic synergy with teleportation

How it works: Equip Chokehold and throw it to place a trap on the ground. The trap triggers when enemies enter line of sight. It has one charge, costs 200 credits, and combines elements similar to Chamber’s traps and Fade’s seas, providing utility denial and control of contested areas

Evolution (X)

Why it’s useful: Evolution is Veto’s ultimate ability that makes him extremely durable and difficult to counter, allowing aggressive plays or clutch defense

How it works: Costs seven points and grants combat stim, regeneration, and immunity to negative effects. During Evolution, most abilities such as Breach’s ultimate, flashes, and Brimstone ultimates are negated. Weapons like Jett’s sniper, Chamber’s orbs, and Neon’s alt remain effective against him. Evolution also affects teammates’ utility, allowing coordinated pushes safely

Veto is designed as a sentinel who denies enemy utility and protects his team while maintaining aggressive map control. Players should combine his teleportation, traps, and ultimate for maximum impact
