It is safe to say that academy teams are here to stay in the world of professional CS:GO. More than just granting young talent the opportunity to gain experience within an organizational structure where they gain grow and evolve as players, the various academy teams are also great as a back-up for when the main roster needs a stand-in or perhaps strengthening in terms of new blood.
An organization that has utilized their academy division with great success in recent times is the Swedish Ninjas in Pyjamas. In addition to the main NiP roster, they have a strong academy division called Young Ninjas.
