Wildcard out of the Shanghai Major
The North Americans failed to take their chances in the elimination match against GamerLegion.
The fairytale run from Wildcard in Shanghai is over. Peter 'stanislaw' Jarguz’s troops had already exceeded all expectations reaching the Elimination Stage of the Shanghai Major, but here the journey ended for the relatively unexperienced roster.
Wildcard started by winning their own map pick of Dust2, but then failed to convert some crucial rounds on Ancient, where they had the chance of closing out the match. Instead Anubis came into play as the decider map, and here all momentum had swung in the way of GamerLegion, who ran Wildcard over in the second half of the map winning 13-5.
GamerLegion moves up in the “1-2” bracket, where they will fight to stay alive in the tournament tomorrow.
