Vitality near elimination at IEM Rio
A loss against Outsiders leaves Vitality in dire straits.
Team Vitality has been dubbed as many as one of the teams able to challenge FaZe and NAVI’s claim for the IEM Rio trophy. So far in the tournament things are not pointing at any title run for the French/Danish roster, who like yesterday against GamerLegion had issues on their CT side.
On Overpass that usually spells trouble. And despite a good start to the second half, Vitality quickly lost momentum. With only ZywOo running a positive K-D score, the support cast of Vitality had problems making impact underlined by a poor performance from Emil "Magisk" Reif in the first half.
Vitality had their chances to make a comeback, but made several unnecessary mistakes that left them no chance in the end to win the match.
Vitality are now down to the 1-2 bracket, and will play the first of possible two elimination matches tomorrow to stay alive in the tournament.
