Team Vitality has become the first team to secure a spot in the BLAST Premier Spring Finals after securing a 2-1 victory over the Danes from Heroic in the Group A final of Spring Groups. The French/Danish squad put on a good performance, led by Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut who finished as the series MVP with a 1.36 Rating, 81.7 ADR, and a 63-39 K/D score.

The match started with Vitality taking the first map, Mirage, with a 16-11 score. Heroic answered back by taking Nuke away from Vitality 13-16, but apEX’s men were able to put an end to the series with a comfortable 16-8 victory on Vertigo.

With this victory, Vitality have secured a spot in the BLAST Premier Spring Finals, where they will face off against other top teams in the world for a change to win a share of the $425,000 prize pool. Heroic, on the other hand, aren’t out of the tournament just yet, as they have another chance to secure a ticket for the main event if they can take down the winner of Liquid vs. BIG in the knockout bracket.
