Valve: Only playtime before the Beta counts
Find out what Valve had to say for players eagerly waiting to try out the Beta version of Counter-Strike 2.
On Monday, the developers from Valve revealed on Twitter that only playtime before the beta release of Counter-Strike 2 will count towards eligibility for the limited test of the game.
Ever since the beta version of the highly anticipated Counter-Strike 2 was announced, players around the world have been eagerly waiting for their chance to try it out. However, there has been confusion and frustration regarding who gets access to the beta version and what is required to qualify for it.
Many players have noticed that pro players and streamers seem to have got easy access to the beta version, which has resulted in all these questions around the beta version. However, the recent announcement clarifies that playtime before the start of the limited test is what counts towards eligibility, regardless of skill level and rank.
Valve’s announcement also debunked the idea that idling on official matchmaking servers in CS:GO would increase a player’s chances of getting into the limited test. This misconception had led to some players idling on servers in the hopes of increasing their playtime and eligibility.
