Two North Americans make the switch to VALORANT
Kenneth “koosta” Suen and Nathan “leaf” Orf has both put an end to their career in CS as they switch to VALORANT.
On Tuesday, the news feed featured two high-profile NA CS:GO players being announced as members of VALORANT sides for two NA organizations. koosta will continue to play under the Gen.G banner, marking an end to a seven-year-long career in CS, while leaf has been officially announced as a member of Cloud9 Blue. The pair join a growing list of NA players who have made their switch to the Riot Games’ shooter since its release.
17-year-old leaf racked up an impressive trophy haul during his time with Chaos and impressed the CS scene in the process with ability and gamesense that are seemingly beyond his years. Throughout 2020, he averaged a 1.14 rating featuring wins at DreamHack Masters Winter 2020 and IEM Beijing-Haidian.
koosta played in one Major, reaching the group stage of ESL One Cologne back in 2016 with CLG and most recently averaged a 1.19 rating in ESL One: Cologne 2020 NA, a 1.08 rating in ESL Pro League Season 12, and a 1.03 rating in Flashpoint 2.
