Twistzz after upset loss: I'm convinced an admin broke my mouse
The Liquid in-game leader seemingly had technical issues during the first round in Shanghai - issues caused by a tournament admin, according to Twistzz.
Following Liquid’s unexpected loss to Wildcard in the opening round of the Americas RMR, Liquid captain Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken posted a Tweet suggesting that he experienced issues with his mouse during the game.
In the post, Twistzz states that he’s convinced that a tournament admin is responsible for breaking his mouse before the start of the series.
In a reply, Twistzz provided further context:
Poor catering at the RMR
Twistzz has also raised concerns over the catering situation at the RMR tournament, expressing his frustration of the lack of vegetarian options and mislabeled food.
- This is a personal issue as well that has been reported but nothing changed. Almost zero vegetarian options given for player catering. They are mislabeling the food as well, so you can never tell until you search through the food. Day 3 of this is incredibly frustrating. Serves as an early heads up for the EU teams that will come here unless they fix it before, Twistzz wrote.
Upset losses in the first round
Broken mouse or not, Liquid now find themselves in a tough spot at the Perfect World Shanghai Major Americas RMR. With their 16-12 loss to Wildcard this Tuesday morning, Twistzz and his teammates start the Swiss stage at 0-1, immediately feeling the pressure to secure wins in their upcoming matches.
They share this early setback with fellow top seed FURIA, who also stumbled in the first round. You can read more about that in the article below.
