Since the start of 2023, the South American transfer market has been extremely busy. Players and coaches have been going from one team to another switching places. We have made a comprehensive transfer list showcasing the most notable transfers on the South American scene so far this year.
1 Jan:
- On the first day after the new year, the Brazilian team Liberty put their entire roster on the transfer list. Only their star rifler Daniel "rdnzao" Monteiro has found a new team following his departure from Liberty.
3 Jan:
- Isurus said farewell to their bench player Sebastian "Gooden" Palacios.
7 Jan:
- GodGenesis signs five Brazilian players to start their journey on the Brazilian scene. m1das, nyer, guZERA, Rpl, bpg will form a team under the new GodGenesis banner.
10 Jan:
- 9z Academy coach will be put on the transfer list following poor results and recent chances within the academy team.
- MIBR academy player Henzo "spinnie" Marci part ways with the Brazilian team.
- Former Paquetá Gaming player Enxo "xns" Henrique will be put on the bench as the organization is seeking towards new options to the active line-up.
11 Jan:
- O Plano parts ways with Caike "caike" Costa after six months of playing for the first team.
- The 30-year-old coach Willian "Xamp" Caldas will be joining O Plano on a permanent deal following his departure from Fluxo.
- 18-year-old Brazilian talent Allan "history" Lawrenz joins Fluxo on a permanent deal going forward. Allan "history" Lawrenz played eight months under the ARCTIC banner before joining Fluxo.
12 Jan:
- Lucas "lux" Meneghini will take a step down from the active lineup and instead be put on the bench for the Brazilian team Fluxo.
13 Jan:
- 20-year-old Victor "Gafolo" Andrade parts ways with Paquetá Gaming. The AWPer will be joining Sharks on a permanent deal.
- Coach Wilton "zews" Prado joins Fluxo from O Plano.
- 9z Analyst Gustavo "tge" Motta will become first team coach at the age of only 25.
- Two-time Major winner and legendary rifler Fernando "fer" Alvarenga retire after 13 years on the Counter-Strike scene.
- 24-year-old Jhonatan "JOTA" Willian joins Imperial following Fernando "fer" Alvarenga's retirement.
14 Jan:
- Former player and coach Lincoln "fnx" Lau will stay under the Imperial banner as a full-time streamer representing the organization.
- Former 9z coach Rafael "zakk" Fernandes joins Imperial as their new head coach going into the 2023 season.
16 Jan:
- MIBR academy player Lucas "lub" Baracat joins O Plano on a permanent deal.
- Former free agent Bruno "shz" Martinelli joins O Plano to round out their five-man roster for the upcoming events.
- The most recent transfer in South America is Paquetá Gaming which announced the welcome of Gustavo "yel "Knittel and Gabriel "nython" Lino on Twitter.
