STYKO on perfectionism: I have held myself and my team to unrealistic standards
STYKO gives his take on how damaging perfectionism can be.
Martin "STYKO" Styk is a 26-year-old professional CS:GO player. The IGL/Rifler has played for several teams during his time as a professional, Hellraisers, Mousesports, Godsent, FPX, and now Apeks.
"Perfectionism drives your motivation and that motivation can help you achieve impressive goals"
STYKO has made a Youtube video on his Youtube channel where he talks about how perfectionism can hurt you as a CS:GO player. He talks about how his Perfectionism has given him more hurt than good as he grew older. When talking about CS, STYKO realized that perfectionism became more of a negative mindset because of the problems that he has witnessed as a player with perfectionism.
"I always held myself and my team to a realistically high standard, in my head everything I did was never good enough even if we were winning as a team, instead of celebrating the win, I was always really quickly looking for ways to improve for the next match."
