Spirit secures Grand Final spot at Shanghai Major
The CIS dragons are ready to fight for the Major title on Sunday!
Team Spirit has claimed their place in the Grand Final of the Perfect World Shanghai Major after defeating MOUZ in an intense semifinal clash this Saturday in China.
The series began with a dominant performance from MOUZ on Nuke, their map pick. Kamil “siuhy” Szkaradek’s squad came out swinging, delivering a near-flawless showing to take a 13-7 victory. Leading the charge was Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin, who finished with an exceptional 1.84 rating.
However, MOUZ’s early momentum evaporated as Spirit took control of the server on Ancient. Despite MOUZ’s confidence on Nuke, they were overwhelmed by Spirit’s rising star, Danil “donk” Kryshkovets, who helped secure a staggering 13-4 win for his team.
The decider map on Mirage was no different, as Spirit continued to dominate. Leonid “chopper” Vishnyakov repeatedly out-called MOUZ, leading Spirit’s T-side to an impressive victory. Dmitriy “sh1ro” Sokolov shone brightly on the final map, ending with a strong 1.60 rating to seal the series 2-1 in Spirit’s favor.
Spirit will now face the winner of the second semifinal between FaZe and G2 in tomorrow’s Grand Final, scheduled for 11:00 CET.
