Snax leaves GamerLegion to join G2 as new fifth member
Janusz 'Snax' Pogorzelski reunites with his former Virtus.pro teammate Wiktor 'TaZ' Wojtas in a highly unexpected transfer to G2.
With a shocking move, G2 has announced the signing of Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski to be their new in-game leader. The 30-year-old Pole is set to take over the reins from Rasmus “HooXi” Nielsen, who was benched earlier this week.
The Counter-Strike legend joins the team from GamerLegion after nine months, where he served as the in-game leader and captain for the young roster, which currently sits at #29 in the Top 30 ranking.
The signing of Snax means that G2's superstar Nikola "NiKo" Kovac won't take the IGL role on his shoulders this time around.
Rebuild complete!
Snax is not the only new face in G2 this off-season, as the iconic organization has also brought in the powerful and aggressive rifler Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa from M80. These signings signify a major roster overhaul, resulting in the benching of both Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen and Nemanja "nexa" Isakovic.
However, nexa has already secured a new position, joining his compatriot Aleksandar "kassad" Trifunović on BLEED.
A Challenging Tenure
Snax joined GamerLegion in September last year, shortly after the organization sold their star rifler Mihai "iM" Ivan and young in-game leader Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek, following their impressive performance at the BLAST Paris Major. Under Snax's leadership, GamerLegion struggled to replicate their previous success. '
Snax departs without any notable accolades, with a 3rd-4th place finish at the CCT Season 1 Global Finals being his best result with the team.
