”Shut them down”: ESIC heavily criticized after HUNDEN statement
Are the so-called "esports watchdogs" living up to their task?
The Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) has published a recent press release stating that they have decided to lift a ban on the controversial coach Nicolai “HUNDEN” Petersen.
In the short statement, the esports watchdog state to have had a “constructive engagement” with HUNDEN leading to a joint agreement, in the words of HUNDEN himself.
Following today’s news and the recent statement, several people inside the CS:GO community has aired their criticism of ESIC – especially of their lack of transparency and mismanagement. One of the most vocal critics is CS:GO expert Janko “YNk” Paunovic.
- Shut ESIC down, it's a joke at this point and it's doing more harm than good, YNk wrote on Twitter and continued. The process feels like it has been so grossly mismanaged that everything that came out of their camp this whole year (if not longer) just makes you cringe.
