The matches at the Regional Major Rankings (RMR) for the upcoming Perfect World Shanghai Major will be held in hotel rooms, marking a significant contrast to the usual studio settings of past RMR events.

Perfect World has opted for this setup, assigning each team a separate room for their matches. 

Photos and videos shared on X (formerly Twitter) reveal the setup, showing a less traditional environment for the Asian and Oceanic RMR. Whether or not it will be the same for the Americas and European tournaments is not known yet. 

The first of three RMR tournaments for the Shanghai Major kicked off this Monday morning, with the Asian qualifier starting. The Americas RMR is set to begin on Tuesday, with the European qualifiers following shortly after, as they're set to begin on November 17th and 21st.
