seized retires from professional Counter-Strike
A long career has come to an end for the Russian rifler.
Denis "seized" Kostin, a longtime fixture in the Counter-Strike scene, has officially announced his retirement from professional play. In a statement shared with fans, seized explained his decision to step away from competitive CS after a long and successful career.
The 29-year-old Russian player, who became known during his time with Natus Vincere, cited the lack of promising opportunities to continue his career at a high level, particularly with Valve’s new ranking and qualification structure.

Despite hanging up his mouse, seized isn’t leaving the scene entirely. He plans to remain involved in various media projects and will continue streaming in the near future. He also hinted at a potential return as a coach after a year’s break, expressing his passion for competition and helping teams succeed from a new role.
During his career, seized represented the likes of NAVI, Vega Squadron, Team Singularity and most recently 9Pandas. His biggest victory was at ESL One New York in 2016, where he and the rest of NAVI won the tournament over the Poles from Virtus.pro.
