Renowned tournament organizer closes down shop
A poor financial outlook is the reason behind the heartbreaking farewell.
Beyond the Summit and its days as an esports tournament organizer has come to an end with the organization ceasing operations.
In an official statement, the co-founder David “LD” Gorman explains that the famous production house will shut down due to the company not being profitable anymore and if it won’t improve, they could “run the company into the ground and not be able to pay anyone anything”
Despite a tough competition from heavy hitters such as ESL, BLAST, and DreamHack in the Counter-Strike scene, Beyond the Summit managed to find its very own place and identity. Something they did with a unique and more relaxed way of thinking CS:GO broadcasting, which often was applauded by the viewers and the Counter-Strike community.
Here are some of the reactions from the CS:GO community.
