Renowned esports referee lashes out at ESIC and tournament organizers
Michal Slowinski believes that ESIC and TO's have failed in their pursuit of potential cheaters.
The Esports Integrity Commission released yesterday a statement regarding stream sniping and the heavy number of reported incidents. ESIC explains in the statement that there will be a zero-tolerance from this date on, but how every incident prior to this date not will be pursued.
This has meant that the renowned esports referee and former head referee at ESL, Michal Slowinski had gone to Twitter, criticising both tournament organizers and ESIC. The freelance referee cannot understand why teams and players avoid punishment when there according to him, is clear evidence of cheating.
Slowinski continues by giving an example from back in April 2020 where a player was punished for joining the match stream on Twitch, which is a complete resemblance of the incident with MIBR the other day where the Brazilians had a monitor streaming their match.
