Renowned caster-duo ready to make a comeback
Would they be a great addition to the broadcast pool in 2025?
The iconic casting duo of Daniel "ddk" Kapadia and James Bardolph may be poised to return to the Counter-Strike commentary booth, after a nearly two-year absence since their last event at the 2021 PGL Major Stockholm.
In a recent post on X, ddk revealed that he and Bardolph are eager to reunite behind the mic but have faced a significant hurdle: tournament organizers remain hesitant due to the duo’s lack of events.
- James is down to roll back the years. Biggest concern from tournament organizers is that we don't have any reps, but we also haven't been able to get any opportunities this year, so it's a difficult issue. I think with one event we'd show that the 10+ years of grinding doesn't go away, ddk wrote on X.
ddk and Bardolph have been part of the broadcast lineup at several top-tier tournaments, including multiple Counter-Strike Majors. Their last event together was in 2021 at the PGL Major in Stockholm.
