The Perfect World Shanghai Major will not see a title defence from the reigning champions, as NAVI see themselves eliminated from the competition, following a decisive loss this Sunday. 

The final blow came at the hands of HEROIC, who took down a big scalp in today’s 2-2 match at the Elimination Stage, securing a ticket to the playoffs in China.

In the elimination series, Damjan "kyxsan" Stoilkovski and his men showed no signs of respect for their opposition, despite squaring up against the world leaders and PGL Copenhagen Major champions.

Through a mix of brilliance from HEROIC and a NAVI meltdown, the opening map ended up as a completely one-sided affair with HEROIC dismantling Aleksib and company in a 13-3 scoreline.

NAVI was much more competitive on Nuke, handing HEROIC a bit of their own medicine as they won the map 13-5, sending the series into a final deciding battle.

However, with a wonderful reset and comeback, HEROIC bounced back and cemented the victory which sent them into the playoff, while NAVI sees themselves eliminated before the final stage.
