Preview: PGL Major Europe RMR A
The first European RMR event for the upcoming PGL Major is starting tomorrow
With the RMR event for the Americas concluded and the one for Asia reaching its conclusion today, we can begin to look forward to the upcoming RMR event for European teams. With European teams being such a dominant force within the professional CS:GO scene, we can look forward to not just one RMR event ahead of the PGL Major, but two.
The first of the two European RMR events is set to kick off tomorrow at 11.00 (CEST) and will span from April 17th to 20th. The European RMR tournament will be played just like the former Americas RMR event, with a Group Swiss format. The sixteen teams attending will face each other in preliminary Bo1-series, whereas the 4th. place decider will be played as a Bo3-series between the two best-seeded teams with a 3-1 record.
With the RMR tournament sporting the Bo1-series format in the first stage, anything can happen and even the best teams may fall victims to having a bad day or perhaps being unprepared for some teams of a lesser caliber. With that being said, some of the biggest teams are participating in hopes of qualifying for the upcoming PGL Major in Antwerp. Worth mentioning is Natus Vincere, Heroic, Outsiders, FaZe, Vitality, and fnatic.
Get ready as sixteen of the best European teams fight for eight qualifying spots to the prestigious Major event in Antwerp.
