Post M4A1-s buff: Every competitive map are now CT-sided
It looks like the game has become more difficult for the Terrorists since the famous "Operation Riptide" update.
In September last year, Valve released a new update called Operation Riptide, which at first sight looked to be one of the most substantial and significant updates and reworks in the history of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
The new update contained new features like droppable grenades, a nerf deagle, a rework of Dust2, but also an extensive upgrade and buff to the M4A1-S, increasing the damage dealt by each bullet from the CT-rifle. – Something, which has made nearly every pro player ditch the M4A1 to pick up the silenced rifle instead.
We have taken a look at some of the effects and consequences of the update and the M4A1-s. And looking at the statistics of CT-side and T-side wins on every competitive map in CS:GO, it’s clear to see that the game has become more CT-sited.
The two following graphs show the % distribution of wins between CT and T's (Top 30 games), displaying the shift in the balance between being on the defence and offense.
