The PGL Stockholm Major starts today!
For the first time in history, we have a Major at our hands.
The countdown has ended. The 2021 PGL Stockholm Major starts today. The following two weeks we will have non-stop action from the best teams in the world.
Here on Pley.gg we will follow the tournament closely and give you all the best highlights from the prestigious tournament. From the Champions stage of the tournament, we will have a reporter at the Avicii Arena, where we will bring you interviews and all the latest news.
The tournament is split into three parts. Today the Challenger stage starts. Here 16 teams will fight for the eight spots in the next stage called Legend stage. Both stages will be played in a Swiss System* format. All matches will be played as best of 1 until the elimination matches, where the teams will play best of 3 maps.
In the Champions Stage, eight teams will fight for the title and the $1,000,000 in a single bracket format all played as best of 3.

Champions Stage (November 4th - 7th)
* In a Swiss System the match pairing for each round is done after the previous round has ended and depends on its results. If a team has won their first match, they will be matched with a similar team in the second round until they have either won or lost three matches. The first round of both the Challenger and the Legend stage is determined by seeding.
