PGL and StarLadder Unveil Tournament Plans for 2025
The upcoming 2025 season promises a plethora of tournaments in the competitive gaming landscape. Valve's decision to terminate the business partnerships between teams and tournament organizers for the 2025 season has catalyzed the return of two prominent Counter-Strike operators to the forefront of the scene.
PGL, renowned for hosting numerous Majors, made a significant announcement during the PGL Copenhagen Major Grand Final broadcast, revealing plans for 11 tournaments to be conducted in 2025 and 2026.
The Romanian tournament organizer attributed its reentry into the Counter-Strike market, beyond the scope of Majors, to the modifications in CS2 licensing regulations and the imposition of restrictions on conflicts of interest between tournament organizers and teams.
