Perfect World discloses impressive Opening Stage attendance numbers
The initial days of the Perfect World Shanghai Major presented a strong amount of live fans inside the venue.
Perfect World, the organizers behind the Shanghai Major, have revealed impressive attendance figures for the tournament’s Opening Stage.
According to information shared with Dust2 Brazil, an average of 4,000 spectators attended the venue daily over the course of the four-day stage. With all tickets sold for the ongoing Elimination Stage, organizers expect similar attendance numbers to continue.
All matches to be played in front of fans
Unlike the PGL Copenhagen Major earlier this year, the Shanghai Major ensures that every stage of the competition is held in front of a live audience, creating an electrifying atmosphere for players and fans alike.
The Opening and Elimination Stages are hosted in the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center, using two distinct venues within the complex. Once these stages have concluded, the action shifts to the larger Shanghai Oriental Sports Center for the playoff, which can house around 13,000 spectators.
