Ninjas in Pyjamas eliminate their countrymen at cs_summit 7
A dominating performance from NiP, who will now face Virtus.pro in the Quarter-Finals on Saturday.
Dignitas has been eliminated from cs_summit 7 after a disappointing effort on both Train and Inferno, against their countrymen from NiP. The highly expected rendezvous between the two former NiP legends Adam “friberg” Friberg and Patrik “forest” Lindberg and the new Ninja in Pyjamas ended as a bit of a letdown for the former major winners.
On Dignitas’ map pick, Train, the Swedish/Norwegian roster was run over with crushing 16-4 defeat. Best personified by Adam “friberg” Friberg who went 2-18 in K/D and 0.20 in rating! - However, the 29-year-old Swede came back on the second map on Vertigo by putting up strong numbers in a 29-18 K-D and a 1.39 Rating, which led Dignitas to a strong comeback, where they managed to grab the win, even though being down 13-6.
On the decider map of Inferno, it was once again the Ninjas who controlled the map, as we saw on Train. Led by Simon “twist” Eliasson, NiP concluded the series against their fellow Swede through a confident 16-8 victory on the iconic map.
