Nicklas Bendtner becomes CEO of new CS:GO team
The former Arsenal player, popularly dubbed "Lord Bendtner", is now the owner of his own CS:GO team, following the footsteps of Casemiro and Sergio Aguero.
The world-renowned football player Nicklas Bendtner, who has represented teams like Arsenal and Juventus in his career, has entered professional Counter-Strike with the creation of a new CS:GO team.
The organization is called Prosapia Esport and will be run by Bendtner himself as the CEO and owner. The CS:GO team is set to feature a range of 15-19-year-old talents and will compete in tournaments like Dust2 Power League, ESEA Open, and SCL.
Coronavirus kick-started the idea
Nicklas Bendtner, Prosapia CEO:
- When the Coronavirus came and I, as everybody else, was bound by isolation, I started playing Counter-Strike. It gave me a sense of connection to the outside world. My knowledge and interest began to grow, and I learned about the esport industry and the impact it has on young people, who work very hard to make it to the top. That is why I founded Prosapia Esport, so my staff and I can aid young and promising talents to reach their goals. But most importantly the game of Counter-Strike brings me joy.
