NAVI coach on CIS dominance: “This would definitely not have happened on LAN”
Andrii "B1ad3" Gorodenskyi doesn't believe that the result would have been the same if it was played on LAN.
The CIS region and its dominance on the CS:GO scene in 2021 has been a much-talked-about aspect in the community, which has caused some debates about Gambit, Spirit and Virtus.pro’s great form in this online era.
Some players and experts have questioned whether these teams can manage to continue this dominance or strong display when LAN events are back.
Something, Natus Vincere’s coach Andrii "B1ad3" Gorodenskyi has touched on in a team blog from IEM Katowice, an event where all four CIS team ended in the Top 6.
- “This would definitely not have happened on LAN. LAN and online are completely different things. Everyone forgot about it but on LAN, players show themselves differently. It's a completely different game. This is forgotten because the online era has really dragged on as if it has become the norm.” B1ad3 says.

The renowned coach is still very impressed by the CIS region and its teams, with him explaining that they are very promising for the future.
“This shows that the CIS is developing and growing very strongly, the region has great prospects. The teams that have achieved this, seem to live by it. They understand that they are putting all their efforts into getting an answer, and getting results for their hard work.
Our teams (CIS), which have made it through, already have it all. They have been playing online for several years already, the backbone has already been played."
