Liquid ease past Nouns in the quarterfinals
Team Liquid dominates Nouns in the quarter-finals of BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2023 Americas.
Team Liquid have secured a spot in the semi-finals of the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2023 Americas after a dominant performance against Nouns. The match took place on Thursday, and Liquid came out on top with a 2-0 victory, winning 16-6 on Inferno and 16-8 on Nuke.
Liquid’s Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski was the standout player of the series, finishing with a K-D of 40-24, a rating of 1.53, and an ADR of 94.1. His stellar performance earned him the MVP title of the series.
The victory means that Liquid advances to the semi-finals, where they will face off against paiN from Brazil. The winner of this match will move on to the Grand final, where they will have a chance to win a Spring Final ticket and a $20,000 prize.
On the other hand, Nouns is now eliminated from the tournament, going home with a 5-8th place finish and $5,000 in prize money.
Liquid’s dominance throughout the match was evident from start, as they won the first half of Inferno with a score of 12-3 on the T-side. They then went on to win four out of seven rounds in the second half, securing a convincing 16-6 victory.
The second map, Nuke, saw Liquid maintain a good level of Counter-Strike, winning the first half with a score of 8-7 on the T-side. Nouns were unable to mount a comeback and couldn’t add more than one round to the scoreboard before Liquid won the match 16-8.
Liquid’s next match against paiN promises to be an exciting matchup, with both teams fighting for a spot in the Grand final. It will be interesting to see if Liquid will be able to bring the same level of dominance they displayed against Nouns.
