karrigan confirms: We're trying to bring in k0nfig for BLAST Spring Groups
In an interview with Pley, the FaZe captain gives an update on the problematic situation going before this year's first event.
FaZe has arrived in Copenhagen for BLAST Spring Groups without their powerful Norwegian Håvard “rain” Nygaard, due to him and his Mrs. expecting their first child. Despite the team playing in just over 24 hours, they are still yet to find and announce a replacement.
According to Dust2.us, FaZe is attempting to use the free agent Kristian “k0nfig” Wienecke for the tournament. However, this may be stopped by BLAST and some of the participating teams, the media outlet stated.
We got the chance to speak with karrigan about the situation this Thursday morning, where he confirmed the k0nfig rumours.
- Yes, it’s true that we are trying to bring him [k0nfig] in. It was very easy to call him fast and see if he could play here at BLAST, and he’s living nearby. So for me, it was just the first reaction when we realized that rain and robban couldn’t play, which was kind of yesterday that we had to figure something fast out, karrigan said.
- That’s obviously one of the players we want to get as soon as possible. Obviously he’s a great player and a great stand-in for rain.
Nothing confirmed yet
- The status right we don’t know. Nothing is 100% confirmed but we believe that we have got a signal that whatever is happening we can play as a team – if not, then we have a problem, karrigan stated.
