It’s official! – IEM Cologne will be a LAN event
The Counter-Strike world will soon again see their favourite players clash together face to face on the biggest stage of CS:GO.
The long-awaited return of the beloved LAN events has finally been confirmed! On June 6th when IEM Cologne commences, will mark the day for the first LAN event since March 2020, when Covid-19 made its entry.
The $1 Million tournament will be played without an audience in a studio environment, with the star-studded event presenting a profiled group of teams starred by the likes of Gambit, NAVI, Astralis and G2.
This was stated by ESL back in April where the first plans for IEM Cologne (Previously ESL One Cologne) going back to LAN.
- We have continuously strived to bring Counter-Strike back in the LANXESS arena this year, but with a heavy heart, we have had to make the decision for ESL One Cologne 2021 to not happen with a live audience this year. ESL One Cologne 2022 will take place from July 15-17 and will once again be in the LANXESS arena.
