“I’m so tired of losing”: rain after much-needed win over NAVI
Is this the turning point for Håvard “rain” Nygaard and FaZe?
It feels like ages ago since FaZe occupied the Counter-Strike throne and lifted one prestigious trophy after another.
In the last six months, however, FaZe's silverware has been swapped with early exits and disappointing results.
And the dry spell has also taken a toll on Håvard “rain” Nygaard.
Something, the FaZe veteran explained in an interview with James Banks and BLAST after a much-needed victory against NAVI today.
- I'm so tired of losing and going through mixed zones and interviews after losing all of the time. So it's going to be good to get to play some more games.
- We can’t keep only showing up for playoffs if we’re not getting there, right. It’s like starting from scratch again and just working through our system and getting back up, rain said.
"Tired of playing passively"
Facing elimination at BLAST Premier World Final, rain delivered a strong individual performance to help secure FaZe’s victory over Aleksib and NAVI on Thursday.
When asked about his aggressive playstyle on Mirage, rain shared his thoughts on his approach:
- I’m tired of playing passively. I have always liked to be in the action so I just pressed “W” and looked for fights all the time, he said and continued talking about FaZe’s mentality today.
- We never stopped believing, and everyone was hyped up every single round. It was a really good mentality because the hype is what makes FaZe come alive. We found that hype on Ancient.
