IEM Rio Major semifinal played in front of a near-empty arena
If it ain’t FURIA, they don’t want it.
When the first semifinal at IEM Rio Major kicked off it was in front of a near-empty Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro. The official match stream and other videos show that only a small fraction of the seats in the otherwise massive arena was occupied.
Here is Jeunesse Arena only ten minutes before kick-off between MOUZ and Outsiders this Saturday evening.
In this video, the players arrive on the stage only a couple of minutes before the start, showing the same picture as the video above.
Is it a Major worthy?
Down below you'll find some of the reactions from the CS:GO community on the low attendance this evening.
These videos and pictures of crowd at MOUZ vs Outsiders are a massive contrast to the crowd attendance and atmosphere from yesterday. Here Jeunesse Arena, which looked completely packed, presented a phenomenal showing.
