Iconic NA AWPer ready to return to competition
The former Liquid icon Josh “jdm64” Marzano hasn't played an official match in more than four years.
The Counter-Strike world may soon see the North American AWPer Josh “jdm64” Marzano back in action, with the 33-year-old veteran announcing his intention to revive his CS career.
If the former Liquid AWPer succeeds in finding a team he’s set to kick-start a competitive career, which has been cold since 2019. Already in June last year, jdm64 revealed in an interview with Dust2.us that a potential comeback could happen in Counter-Strike 2.
- I'm optimistic about it. I think it would be a lot of fun, I just have to put in more time. The last three years I haven't really played CS that much and it has been more off than on. The last couple of months I have been playing a little bit here and there but you know, I am busy with life. I want to dive in, it's just waiting for that release and getting after it.
A lounging legend
Throughout his career, jdm64 has played for several notable teams and has achieved a great deal of success in competitive play. He has competed in numerous high-profile tournaments, both domestically and internationally with the second place at ESL One Cologne in 2016 being his biggest result.
However, what jdm64 is most known for is without a doubt his uncharacteristic sitting position and posture while playing CS:GO. With an extremely laid-back - in what nearly looks like a sleeping position - jdm64 has won a lot of the fans and spectators’ hearts.
You can watch him talk about his “lounging” way of playing in the video below.
