HooXi set to miss IEM Dallas; Stewie2k named as potential replacement
Jacky “Stewie2k” Yip can reportedly fill out the void from G2's in-game leader at the $250.000 event.
G2 will be without their captain and in-game leader Rasmus “HooXi” Nielsen for the upcoming IEM Dallas. According to Dust2.us, the 28-year-old Dane has a “personal conflict” which prevents him from travelling with Nikola “NiKo” Kovac and company to the States.
The European team is currently exploring their options, with Dust2.us reporting that the former Liquid icon Jacky “Stewie2k” Yip is among the candidates to replace HooXi.
G2 hasn’t issued any official comments about the news yet. However, Stewie2k himself has made some interesting implications on X (formerly Twitter) hinting that he’s set to travel to Dallas from California.
IEM Dallas will be played from May 27th to June 2nd and is set to feature strong names such as FaZe, NAVI, Vitality, Spirit and many more. The Texas-based tournament has a $250.000 prize pool.
