In a reply to HooXi, Counter-Strike analyst and expert Jacob “Pimp” Winneche points out that Valve is being limited due to the CS calendar being so stacked and that there’s “an important tournament going on NON stop, every week until post major”.

The new update will most likely not be used at IEM Katowice, with that being the common practice when updates are being issued while a tournament is ongoing.
