Heroic bound! degster returns to competitive play after lengthy break
The Damjan "kyxsan" Stoilkovski-led team have added a new and powerful weapon to its arsenal.
The Russian AWPer Abdul “degster” Gasanov has been announced as the new AWPer of Heroic this Sunday, replacing the newly-benched Nico “nicoodoz” Tamjidi.
degster joins the Norwegian organization from OG, where he has been sidelined since the ending of BLAST Paris Major, making this his return to competitive Counter Strike after a year-long pause.
Heroic head coach, Eetu “sAW” Saha, has given the following statement on his new strong weapon on the AWP:
- degster is a player who has an insanely high skill ceiling and that makes it really interesting to bring him in. He has a versatile playstyle, will bring a lot of initiative to the team with his ideas, as well as just raw fragging power. On top of that he is really passionate about the game and I'm assuming that will show with his high level of energy inside and outside of the server.
The 22-year-old Heroic newcomer is set to get his debut the coming week at BetBoom Dacha in Belgrade, Serbia. At the $500.000 event, Heroic will begin by taking on the Brazilians from MIBR on Wednesday.
