ALTERNATE aTTaX have decided to put their professional Counter-Strike division on hold from 2025, the organization announced this Friday.

The German org explain in a press statement that the reason behind the withdrawal is due to factors such as the tense economic situation, the current situation in the CS2 ecosystem and a strategic change within the organization.

- Our decision may initially seem like a step backwards, but it gives us the opportunity to break new ground and redefine our commitment to Counter-Strike, says Lennart Kreuter, project manager of ALTERNATE aTTaX.

In the same press release, ALTERNATE aTTaX shares that they will continue to field and support their academy project so they can return to competitive Counter-Strike in the future.
