G2 and Astralis have secured a spot in BLAST Premier Global Finals
Six out of eight teams have locked in a spot to the BLAST Premier Global Finals event that has $1 million up for grabs.
Astralis' victory over BIG in the consolidation final of BLAST Premier Fall Finals, ensured G2 a spot to the Global Finals based on the BLAST leaderboard, a ranking system that takes into account teams’ performances in a series of top events that have taken place in 2020, including those hosted by Flashpoint and ESL.
gla1ve’s troops booked their spot to the tournament by making the grand final of the Fall Finals and regardless of the outcome of the match, the Danes are given a direct invite.
Both teams have joined four already qualified teams on the team list for the event, which takes place early into 2021 on January 18-24. The winner of the tournament will take home $600.000 and the trophy.
Five teams which are OG, FURIA, Heroic, Liquid, and BIG are still in contention and are battling for the two final spots at the event.

Winning the IEM Global Challenge, which is the final event of the year, will secure any of the teams a spot in the Global Finals. Any squad aside BIG can still make it with a lower finish or a runner-up, depending on how their competition fares at the event.
