Former Major MVP returns to professional CS
Markus "Kjaerbye" Kjærbye is the new in-game leader for the Asian team JijieHao.
26-year-old Markus "Kjaerbye" Kjærbye will head east in the future after he was announced as the new IGL for JijieHao last night.
“Try hard in show matches brings you opportunities”, Kjaerbye wrote on Twitter referencing the Esports World Cup 2024 MENA closed qualifier tournament, where the Dane helped JijieHao to qualify for the upcoming World Cup in Saudi Arabia.
The former Astralis and North player was announced alongside Denislav "dennyslaw" Dimitrov as the two new additions to the Asian organization, where Issa "ISSAA" Murad was the biggest name on the roster.
JijieHao will be the lowest-ranked team at the Esports World Cup starting on the 17th of July.
Markus "Kjaerbye" Kjærbye retired from CS:GO in June 2021, but briefly returned as a part of the Endpoint roster a year later. Since October 2022, the ELEAGUE Major MVP from 2017 has been without a team.
