Fnatic and Brazilians eliminated early at Shanghai Major
A disappointing result for Fnatic as they bump out of the Major with a 0-3 score.
The opening stage of the Perfect World Shanghai Major has already claimed its first casualties, with Fnatic and Imperial both eliminated after suffering three consecutive losses.
Fnatic’s exit came in dramatic fashion as they fell to Rare Atom in a closely contested elimination match. Despite starting strong on Ancient with a 13-10 victory, Alexandre “bodyy” Pianaro’s squad crumbled in the next two maps. The Chinese hometown favorites stormed back on Inferno (13-10) and delivered a commanding 13-4 win on Vertigo to seal the series, with Andrew "kaze" Khong starring with a 1.71 rating on the decider.

Joining Fnatic as an eary elimination are Imperial. The Brazilian team also went 0-3 in the Swiss stage, capped off by a 2-0 loss to Complexity. The North Americans looked sharp as they eliminated the Brazilians in two maps, sending Vinicius 'VINI' Figueiredo and his squad packing.
