FLASHPOINT threatened by half-million-dollar lawsuit
The tournament operator are behind on their payments!
According to a report from Vakarm, the CSPPA, Counter-Strike Professional Players Association, are debating whether they should file a lawsuit against FLASHPOINT and B Site. The French website that the suit is based on unpaid compensation for players of partner teams in 2020. These teams include c0ntact, Cloud9, Dignitas, Envy, Gen.G, MAD Lions, MIBR, and FPX, and they are due a whopping $457.500 in base compensation.
FLASHPOINT is speculated to be the first tournament organizer to guarantee minimum compensation as well as an annual percentage payment of the revenues from ticket sales, sponsorships, and broadcasting rights.
