FaZe lift their second trophy in Counter-Strike 2
The European side continues their perfect form in CS2!
Two tournaments played. Two titles. 11 victories, and not a single best-of-three loss.
That is FaZe’s impressive track record in Counter-Strike 2, after securing the trophy at Thunderpick World Championships 2023 this Sunday evening.
In the Grand Final, Finn “karrigan” Andersen and his star-studded troops took down Virtus.pro with two victories on Ancient (13-10) and Vertigo (19-17), respectively.
The highlight player throughout the series ended up being FaZe’s Robin “ropz” Kool, who caused severe problems for Virtus.pro round after round. On VP’s map pick Vertigo, the Estonian rifler racked up no more than 35 kills in 36 rounds and averaged a 1.49 rating in the double OT thriller.
