CS2 was released yesterday night with several new features. Here is a list of all the new thins in Counter-Strike 2.
Steam Update:
Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) has now replaced CS:GO in the Steam library. When you search for Counter-Strike, CS:GO no longer appears. However, a dive into CS2 reveals comparable or even enhanced movement, hit registration, and spray patterns. Be sure to experience it yourself as Season 1 of CS2 Premier has kicked off.
CS2 Premier:
If you had a beta CS rating, it has now reset, urging you to conquer ten matches to obtain your inaugural rating. The competitive mode is now live, offering specific ranks for each map. To maintain a fair play environment, Valve has introduced measures in Premier matchmaking to deter boosting by preventing high ELO players from queuing with unranked players. Moreover, if a party contains multiple banned players, the entire party faces progress deduction as a penalty.
CS2 Matchmaking and Game Modes:
Wingman mode is now available in CS2 on four specified maps. Additionally, you can set up private matches using a lobby code, which you can share with friends for a personalized gameplay experience.
CS2 Bug Fixes:
Numerous bug fixes have been implemented, addressing issues like rubber banding when colliding with teammates. Chickens can now amusingly plummet off Vertigo.
CS2 Main Menu Music and Audio Settings:
The main menu in CS2 boasts a fresh music track, but fret not, as you can revert to the classic CS:GO tune from your inventory. There's a slew of new audio settings including EQ profile, LR isolation, and perspective correction, aiming to improve your auditory experience especially on maps like Nuke and Vertigo with vertical audio occlusions.
CS2 Animation and Map Updates:
Animation glitches, like body sway and character additive lean, have been rectified. Inferno now harbors an extra bell, allowing for more musical interactions. Other maps received crucial bug fixes and adjustments as well.
CS2 Weekly Care Package:
Now, you have the option to choose up to two rewards weekly, which remain claimable until the next care package refresh. Delve into the case, and you might find something worthwhile.
CS2 Store Update:
The CS2 store unveils a refined categorization, including a 'Home' section showcasing weekly care packages, new and trending items, along with special Paris 2023 capsules.
CS2 Skins and Inventory Preview:
High-definition icons now represent your skins and inventory, enhancing visual appeal. Stickers are previewed directly on the skin within the inventory, and hovering over any skin gives a pop-out effect for a closer look.
Legacy Badge:
For those who played CS:GO before the CS2 transition, a commemorative Global Offensive badge awaits.
CS2 Watch Tab:
A new 'Watch' tab on the main menu allows easy access to your match history and demo downloads for reviewing past performances.
CS2 Community Servers:
Community servers are now accessible through the 'Play' tab, although the list might appear sparse as the game has just launched.
It's a fresh era for the Counter-Strike community with CS2. Dive into the servers and enjoy the revamped experience!
