ESL Challenger returns to Australia in 2023
ESL Challenger will return to Melbourne in April 2023!
ESL have announced that the ESL Challenger #52 will be hosted in the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia as part of the DreamHack Festival. The competition will take place from April 28 to 30, with eight teams fighting to get a bite of the $100.000 prize pool. This will be the second year in a row that an ESL Challenger tournament will be held in Melbourne. Last time, paiN secured the title victory after they took down Imperial in the Grand final series.
The competing teams will be divided into two groups of four, and the format will be a double-elimination GSL format, with the top two teams progressing to a single-elimination playoff bracket. It’s also worth mentioning that it won’t only be money and a trophy on the line, but also an ESL Pro League Season 18 Conference stage spot for the eventual winners.
Tickets for the event will go on sale December 12, on DreamHack’s website.
